Two men charged with molesting young girls

A 32-year-old man was remanded in custody yesterday after he was accused of molesting a seven-year-old girl last month.

Assistant Chief Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans charged Nathaniel Flowers with unlawful sexual intercourse.

Flowers is accused of having unlawful sexual intercourse with the seven-year-old girl in New Providence on April 30.

The defendant was told that his case would move to the Supreme Court through a voluntary bill of indictment (VBI). 

His VBI is set for service on August 7.

Another man was accused of allegedly molesting a 15-year-old girl last week.

Magistrate Vogt-Evans charged Deejay Brown, 23, with unlawful sexual intercourse.

Brown is accused of having unlawful sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl in New Providence on April 30.

Brown was told his case would proceed to the Supreme Court by a VBI.

He will be remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until his VBI is served on July 31.

Inspector S Coakley was the prosecutor in these matters.
