DENIAL can be wonderfully comforting, at least in the short-term, whereas facing reality is often very unpleasant. Sadly, playing the woulda, shoulda, blame game, rather than honest introspection, is seldom helpful in the long-term.

Nonetheless, our two main political parties seem to delight in taking turns proving, over and over, that no Bahamian party may expect to win an election once they become arrogant and lose touch with the people.
