Engineers unveil new Board line-up

THE Bahamas Society of Engineers (BSE) yesterday announced that in March 2012, Robert Reiss and Ray McKenzie resigned as president and secretary respectively.

It added that it had selected a new Board that will govern the BSE for the balance of the current administrative session. The new Board's president is Melanie Roach; Vice-president is Henderson Cash; secretary is Antoine Sands; and treasurer is LaToya Johnson.

The Board's directors are Cyprian Gibson, Robert Deal, Darius William, Deshon Fox, Kristi McCardy, C.N. DeCosta Bethel and Carlos Palacious. Jerome Elliott has agreed to continue in the role of immediate past president.

The Society has set several major goals for the balance of this administration, including: Incorporation of the Society as a non-profit organisation in the Bahamas; the establishment of a Grand Bahama Branch of the Bahamas Society of Engineers; continuation of an annual conference sponsored by the BSE; and assisting members in their pursuit of registration as a Professional Engineer through the examinations arranged by the Board of Professional Engineers (Bahamas).
