Summit Academy visits The Tribune

Students from Summit Academy visited The Tribune today, getting a rare look at the inner workings of a newspaper.

The six students learned about the news gathering process, got a glimpse into the world of advertising and got an extremely coveted look at some of the country's oldest existing newspapers.

Guided by The Tribune's Chief Reporter Paul Turnquest, the tour went down into the press room where the mammoth printing press sat still before the day's work. The students where therefore able to see where the massive spools of paper and gallons of ink go that eventually become a daily paper.
