TWO teenagers were arraigned in a Magistrate’s Court yesterday in connection with an armed robbery at the Mahogany House restaurant a week ago.

Harrison Rayvon Petty III, 18, and a 17-year-old juvenile, were charged with four counts of armed robbery each for their actions on July 20, which allegedly included robbing the western New Providence restaurant and its patrons of wine, cash and various personal items.

It is alleged that on July 20, Petty and the juvenile, armed with a handgun, robbed the Mahogany House of a bottle of Vino Belloti Rosso wine valued at $28, a bottle of 2013 Rickshaw Pinot Noir wine valued at $16 and $230 in cash.

The pair also allegedly robbed Philip Dunkley of a black Timex watch valued at $120 and his Bahamian driver’s licence valued at $15; Sharvis McGregor of a blue Samsung Galaxy S4 phone valued at $500, and Omari Forbes of a Samsung phone valued at $500.

Magistrate Samuel McKinney informed the pair that they were not required to enter a plea; he also informed them that their offences were not subject to bail consideration in a magistrate’s court.

He adjourned the matter to October 6, when a voluntary bill of indictment will be read, and subsequently remanded the pair into police custody.

However, he informed the teenagers that they have the option to file a bail application with the Supreme Court.
