A 49-year-old American has died following a diving expedition off Grand Bahama.
Police report that on Saturday, shortly before 5pm, they received information that a group of visitors from Florida was diving off Memory Rock, when one man reportedly began experiencing difficulty breathing.
He was pulled from the water onto the vessel from which they were diving and CPR was administered. He was transported to West End, where he received medical attention by a doctor from the West End Clinic.
He was then taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead by a doctor.
Police are investigating.
