Channel switch for pay-per-view

WITH video on demand (VOD) platforms gaining prominence around the world, Cable Bahamas has announced that, from this month, pay-per-view movies will only be available on its REV On Demand VOD platform (channel 500).

The company says the move will give customers the ability to browse and enjoy over 4,000 hours of video content, “including Hollywood’s latest hits, classic films, concert specials, documentaries and critically-acclaimed series on their own schedule, with the ability to pause, fast forward, rewind, and view later for up to 48 hours depending on the title”.

Cable Bahamas Vice President of Marketing David Burrows said their customers are demanding greater access to diverse content they can enjoy at their convenience. “We’re constantly working to meet this need, whether it’s updating our content daily, delivering blockbuster premieres monthly or working closely with partners like HBO and FOX+ to secure additional programming,” he said.

REV On Demand delivers access to a wide range of free and paid content, comprising family-friendly movies, karaoke and local programming as well as concerts, special events and two- to three-day movie rentals.

While pay-per-view movies have relocated to REV On Demand, Cable Bahamas said customers can still access a variety of adult programmes, live sporting events and other specials on pay-per-view.
