POLICE arrested a man who led them on a foot chase after he threw a loaded gun to the ground.
According to police reports, officers from the Selective Enforcement Team (SET) arrested the suspect shortly before 11pm on Sunday.
The arrest came after officers from the SET were on patrol on Kemp Road, when they saw the suspect who aroused their suspicion.
The suspect, on seeing the officers, threw an object to the ground and fled on foot. After a short foot chase, the suspect was caught.
The object was recovered and found to be a .40 pistol with 15 rounds of ammunition. The suspect is expected to appear in court early this week to be formally charged.
