Police have one man in custody and are looking for another in connection with the attempted murder of a police officer.

28-year-old Jorel Augustin, also known as “Monkey”, of Taylor Street off East Street was taken into custody on Wednesday night.

But police are asking for the public's help in finding 22-year-old Tahnarze Ferguson, also known as “Dirty” or “Nas”, of Ross Corner off East Street.

Ferguson has a light brown complexion, medium build and is between 5'8" and 5'10" tall.

He is considered to be armed and dangerous. Police advise the public not to approach him. Instead, contact police immediately with any information.

Police wish to remind members of the public that it is a criminal offence to harbour this man, and persons providing a safe haven for him will be prosecuted.
