Teenager airlifted to Florida after car crash

A Grand Bahama teen was airlifted to a Florida hospital in critical condition over the weekend following a traffic accident in Freeport, The Tribune understands.

Details were sketchy up to press time, however The Tribune was told that the victim, who is 18, sustained serious injuries in an early morning car crash in the Freeport area.

The young man, who is in hospital in Florida with broken bones, is said to be recovering.

His injuries are reportedly not life-threatening.

When contacted, a police spokesperson on the island could not provide details.
