Antique Auto Club of The Bahamas. - As the date for the 30th Anniversary Antique Auto Show & Cook-out approaches, the business community continues to show support for the Antique Auto Club of The Bahamas (AACB).

The community is influenced by the club’s track record for quality shows and, especially for the charitable nature of the club’s efforts.

The show is set for this Saturday, March 18, from noon to 6pm at Arawak Cay under the theme “Celebrating Cars and Kids”.

In keeping with its focus on helping underprivileged children, this year’s beneficiary is the Zion Children’s Home in Eleuthera.

Past president Peter Armstrong explained “A few years ago we decided to try and expand some of our charitable giving outside of Nassau.

“Thus far, we have reached needy organisations in Abaco, Cat Island and now, Eleuthera. We are grateful for the continued support of members of the business community like Bay Street Garage, one of our longest supporters going back many years.”

The club is also establishing a scholarship at BTVI, specifically for a student in Auto Body Work in the name of Charles Johnson (deceased), one of the original members of the club, who operated a very popular body shop.
