EDITOR, The Tribune.
THE good Minister of Works talks about impropriety in past RFP’s, but interestingly he has not sought to Investigate the acquisition by Cable & Wireless of BTC.
Fact: The Director of C&W spoke candidly on ZNS and admitted we, Cable & Wireless, did not bid for BTC.
How did C&W end up owning BTC?
Was the valuation at the time of the sale correct?
Why did the Ingraham Government include the strategic sovereign asset of the fibre-cable that runs through the islands in the deal?
If the good Minister means what he says, and I honestly believe him then you have no alternative but to investigate the sale of BTC to a party that did not bid for the entity?
We cannot discriminate.
