JORDAN Wilson was honoured in his final home game with the Dalhousie Tigers men’s basketball programme and proceeded to earn the award as the top performer on the night.
Wilson finished with 14 points and six rebounds in the Tigers’ 105-73 win over the UPEI Panthers. He was named the Subway Player of the Game for the second time this season. Shamar Burrows finished with nine points off the bench.
In the first matchup against UPEI over the weekend, both players were productive in a 113-73 win. Wilson finished with nine points, three steals and three assists. Burrows finished with 12.
The Tigers are set to wrap up their regular season next weekend with a 4-point game against the UNB Reds.
Wilson has made starts in 13 of 16 appearances for the Atlantis University Sport conference leading Tigers at 18-1. The Tigers are also ranked No. 2 in all of U Sports basketballl.
He is averaging 8.9 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.
The Tigers are the defending AUS champions and extended their win streak to nine with last week’s wins. They have earned a first round bye in the upcoming AUS Championships, scheduled for February 28 to March 1 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
