At about 4.30 this afternoon, at least four trail bikes were observed tearing up and down the road inside the Montagu Park that runs parallel to the beach. The ignorant riders were popping wheelies and endangering the people in the area.
A group of perhaps 12 men were clustered under some trees with beers and other beverages in their hands, observing the show, creased up together.
Children and law-abiding citizens were enjoying the water, delighted to finally be at the beach.
This is a plea to the police to post a number of officers at the park and arrest anyone who is driving in a dangerous and reckless manner. Put them before the courts. Ban motorbikes from the strip.
It would be most unfair to close the park and the beach and punish everyone who has waited for so long and obeyed the law because of a few miscreants. I don’t think people can take any more of being cooped up in this hot weather and they should not have to be because of these hooligans.
Recently, we lost a beautiful young girl to a shooting and a toddler is in ICU after being shot. Will another child or innocent person be injured or even lose their life because of these lawless people?

Are we able to decipher which of them are miscreants and which of the others are hooligans? I've not been trained in the art. Just wondering - LOL.
