A 56-year-old woman who denied breaking into a woman’s home and stealing several of her belongings earlier this month was yesterday granted bail before her trial.
Desiree Bain was arrested after police alleged that she, sometime between January 7 and January 11, broke into and entered Lashan Fox-Munnings’ home in Garden Hills.
Bain is further accused of stealing an assortment of Ms Fox-Munnings’ items valued at over $5,000 between those same dates.
However, during her appearance before Magistrate Samuel McKinney yesterday, Bain pleaded not guilty to the housebreaking and stealing charges.
As a result, the matter was adjourned to March 8 for trial.
Bain was also granted $7,000 bail with one surety.
