Attacker hit man at mall with a piece of wood

A MAN was remanded in custody for psychological evaluation after assaulting a man at the mall with a piece of wood.

Kenneth Ingraham, 34, appeared before Assistant Chief Magistrate Subusola Swain on charges of causing harm and assault with a dangerous instrument.

At around 6pm on July 12 at the Mall at Marathon, Ingraham caused harm to Marvin Deveaux after assaulting him with a piece of 2x4 wood.

In court, the defendant pleaded guilty.

Magistrate Swain then remanded Ingraham to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services (BDCS) for psychological evaluation.

As such, the defendant is expected to return to court for report on August 12.
