OMAR Davis, Jr, was buried peacefully yesterday. His death still haunts me. I imagined a great many are still pondering, still trying to make claims of his body in the attempt that knowledge may be found there.
Yet, “I gather up cold handfuls of the dew, To wash you, cousin. I dab you clean with moss. Fine as the drizzle out of a low cloud. And in an age of technology and social media, I know his memory, his ability to inspire, his smile, his determination will refuse to be silent. And we will remember him in the beauty of that.”
