He is survived by his wife: Viola Arimina Gibson nee Cates; sons: Obafemi and Omar Gibson, Quincy Saunders; daughters: Josephine Turner, Joanna Bain, Jessica and Latoya Gibson; sisters: Rosemary Gibson-Thompson and Theresa Capron; brother: Patrick Gibson; and other relatives.
