Bahamas-registered domain in $7.5m deal

LONDON-based domian name seller, CentralNic, announced yesterday that it has acquired Bahamian-registered domain name retailer Internet.BS as it moves to enter markets in the Caribbean an Africa.  CentralNic will reportedly pay a maximum of $7.5 million for the Bahamas registered business, of which $5.2 million will be paid upfront, comprising $2.7 million in cash with the rest to be satisfied through the issue of CentralNic shares.

RADIO 100 JAMZ and Joy 101.9 went off the air early Thursday morning after a series of power cuts affected the antenna and transmission systems. Engineers were working all day yesterday and late into the night to repair the antenna and restore transmission as quickly as possible.

Antigua and Barbuda leads “historic” declaration at OAS General Assembly

An historic “first” was recorded at the General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS) when 20 countries, drawn from Central America and the Caribbean, issued a joint declaration, calling on international financial and development institutions “to prioritize the provision of funds and resources to support the efforts of Central America and the Caribbean in addressing climate change, recognizing the urgency and magnitude of the challenges faced by these regions”.
