THE Tribune family extends its deepest gratitude and congratulations to Eloise Poitier, executive assistant to former Publisher, the Rt Hon Eileen Carron, and her successor, son Robert Dupuch-Carron, on her 57th work anniversary with the company.

Mr Carron, also Tribune president and founder of Bahamas Aviation, Climate and Severe Weather Network (BACSWN), hailed the milestone yesterday and thanked Mrs Poiter, affectionately known as ‘Mrs P’, for her dedication, discipline and strong work ethic.

Mrs Poitier became Mrs Carron’s executive assistant when she officially assumed the role of editor in 1962 and continues to serve in that capacity, a milestone Mr Dupuch-Carron described as remarkable.

“So, ‘Poits’ congratulations on such a tremendous achievement. I salute you on behalf of all the staff on your dedicated service to the people's paper.”

Reflecting on her decades-long tenure, Mrs Poitier said she was grateful to Mrs Carron, Mr Dupuch-Carron and The Tribune family for their trust and continued support.

“It’s been a pleasure to have worked at The Tribune all these years, watching the company grow into a major media company people can trust and listen to. To have been part of that means so much to me,” she said. “I’m especially grateful to Mrs Carron and her family for the opportunities afforded to me. I look forward to what the future holds.”

Tribune Editor-in-Chief David Leigh said: “Mrs P is an institution at The Tribune. She’s an amazing lady who keeps the place ticking, making sure everyone stays on their toes and everything is always running smoothly. We’re incredibly fortunate to have her as part of our newsroom family.”
