TWO Bahamian bowlers - Leon Graham of Nassau and Clarence Wallace of Freeport, Grand Bahama - competed in the World Seniors Invitational Bowling Tournament at Tamarac Lanes in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Graham put on a dazzling display of bowling in the C division by averaging 240 for three games to lead all categories in the Masters qualifying round.
Graham then went on to capture the silver medal in his division and just missed claiming the gold by 45 pins. He also won a gold medal in the trio's event after teaming up with Jerry Daniels and Norbert Buchanan of the US.
Wallace and his foreign partners performed well for fourth place, just short of winning a medal in the A division.
The A and B categories were grouped ages 50-59 while the C category consisted of bowlers aged 60 and above.
Players from different countries are allowed to team up for doubles and triples when enough bowlers aren't entered in the respective age brackets.
Bahamian bowlers continue to have great success at this tournament.
In 2011, Leon Graham teamed with Alfred Burrows to win gold for the doubles in the C category.
Graham then teamed up with Butch Brown of the US to claim gold in the trio's.
Phillip 'Grease' Bethel and Tom Mariani of the US teamed up last year to win gold in the A category with Charles Isaacs of Nassau and Clarence Wallace of Freeport claimed bronze.
