THE Diocesan Chorale recently closed out the year 2011 with a gala concert in Lyford Cay. Over the years, the Chorale have performed throughout the islands of The Bahamas and have been musical ambassadors to many international cities such as London, Toronto, New York, Baltimore and Washington, DC. This year promises to be a challenging one for the Chorale as it prepares for its 39th Spring Concert to be held at Government House on May 26 and 27 while at the same time preparing to perform in Ottawa and Montreal in Canada later this year. The motto of the Chorale is "Gloria de Deus" (the Glory of God) and the group continues to be faithful to its motto by providing music as an intrinsic part of its Christian culture. A non-denominational group of approximately 40 singers, the Diocesan Chorale continues to provide entertainment and spiritual upliftment to patrons both locally and internationally.
