FREEPORT - A Freeport man was sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to housebreaking and stealing in the Freeport Magistrate's Court.
William Smith, 51, of Churchill Drive, appeared in Court Two before Magistrate Andrew Forbes on two counts of housebreaking and three counts of stealing.
According to reports, police received three complaints of housebreaking and stealing on June 29 in the Midshipman Road area, where Smith was caught on a surveillance camera breaking into two homes.
He was convicted and sentenced to four years at Her Majesty's Prison, New Providence.
