POLICE officers made three drug finds in New Providence over the weekend.
The first incident took place around 10.30am on Friday, when Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) officers, acting on a tip, searched a property on Amos Ferguson Street off East Street, where they discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana.
No arrests were made, but police are investigating.
At around 10pm that night two men, 22 and 24 years old, were taken into custody for questioning after DEU officers conducted a search of a silver Nissan Altima and discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana. The men, who were detained at the junction of Soldier Road and Prince Charles Drive, are residents of Golden Gates and Nassau Village respectively.
In the third incident, at around 1.30am on Saturday, DEU officers, acting on a tip, conducted a search of a home at Jasmine Gardens and discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana.
Three people, ages 22, 32, 53 were taken in for questioning and are currently helping police with their investigation.
