THE Nassau Darts Association (NDA) Playoffs/Divisional Season 2011-2012 is all set to begin today. 5 Divisions (26 Teams) Championship - 4 Teams - 1 - 4 Div A - 6 Teams - 5 - 10 Div B - 6 Teams - 11 - 16 Div C - 5 Teams - 17 - 21 Div D - 5 Teams - 22 - 26 Note: The Executive of the NDA also wishes to remind teams of the provisions of the NDA Rules concerning players' eligibility to play in the Divisional/Playoff Season:- SECTION TWO: PLAYER ELIGIBILITY A team may recruit new players until the end of the Open season. No new players may be recruited for Divisional play. Failure to comply with this rule will result in a 12-0 forfeit. A player must play in at least two matches in the Open season in order to be able to play in the Divisional/Playoff Season NDA Playoffs/Divisional Season Format (Championship Division) Championship - 1st -v- 4th ( Best 2 of 3 Matches) (1st & 3rd Match at 1st's Venue) - 2nd -v- 3rd ( Best 2 of 3 Matches) (1st & 3rd Match at 2nd's Venue) - Winner of 1st v 4th -v- Winner of 2nd v 3rd (Best 2 of 3 Matches) - (1st & 3rd Match at Higher Team's Venue) - (1st - Winner) (NDA Champion) - (2nd - Loser) - Loser of 1st v 4th -v- Loser of 2nd v 3rd (Best 2 of 3 Matches) - (1st & 3rd Match at Higher Team's Venue) - (3rd - Winner) - (4th - Loser) NDA Playoffs/Divisional Season Format (Division A-D) Round Robin Div A & B - 5 games played Div C & D - 4 games played Division A thru D play each team in their division as usual (1 time, typical match format). 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, no points for a loss. Division winners are determined based on points (and then wins if tied - games won if still tied) at the end of divisional play.
