JEAN PAUL MORVAL of Paris, Rotary International's millionth Rotarian, was welcomed at Nassau International Airport on a Saturday and faced a week of special Rotary-planned activities in the Bahamas. He was accompanied by his wife.
On the Monday, he called on Governor-General Sir Gerald Cash, himself a Rotarian. Sir Gerald is an honourary member of the East Nassau Rotary Club.
While the Morvals were in the Bahamas, there was a luncheon and dinner engagements, a tour of New Providence, boating and picnics and a day of boating and fishing at Abaco as the guests of the Rotary Club of Abaco at Marsh Harbour.
Mr Morval, an engineer, was accompanied to Government House by several local Rotary Club presidents.
