KINGSTON, Jamaica (AP) -- The sister of a Jamaican police officer accused of beheading a taxi driver has also been charged in the slaying.
Last week, authorities charged Constable Jeffrey Peart in the slaying nearly a month after the headless body of taxi driver Delroy Frame was found in the northern parish of St Ann.
On Tuesday, police announced the officer's 21-year-old sister also is charged with murder and conspiracy to murder in the case.
Receptionist Roxanne Peart is due to make her first court appearance today. She has not yet entered a plea.
Authorities say the beheading victim was believed to be a witness in a corruption case against the rookie 24-year-old officer, who was based in the tourist town of Negril.
