DAMIANOS Sotheby's International Realty has named its 2011 Top Producers. They are: Samira Coleby, for the Bahamas; Bill Albury, Abaco; and Jonathan Morris, Eleuthera.
Reflecting on 2011, Ms Coleby said: "The market is changing; clients are continually challenging us. Despite the economic recession, the Bahamas has retained its place as one of the more affordable and attractive markets. Technology and social media has also made agents and their agencies more accessible and accountable, and as a result, we must begin to understand that we are no longer simply selling real estate, but a concept of life.
"We, as real estate agents in this beautiful country, must now expect more of ourselves in order to meet our clients' own expectations, and guide their navigation through the real estate market - an experience that we are in a position to facilitate, and render unforgettable."
Mr Albury, who has been representing buyers and sellers throughout Abaco for the past seven years, recently received feedback from a client that said: "The effort that you extended, and the professionalism you carried throughout the purchase process, was beyond anything we have experienced. Your assistance and genuine helpfulness was beyond the call of duty."
Jonathan Morris, an Eleutheran native, has seen the island emerge into it own special niche.
He added: "The Eleuthera real estate market remains steady despite the challenges of world economic conditions. A high inventory of listings in both vacant land and developed properties presents wonderful buying opportunities for investors wanting to jump in and take advantage of what an Eleuthera lifestyle has to offer.
"There is strong interest from our local market in Nassau, as Nassauvians look to our island for a weekend vacation getaway spot or plan for future retirement and/or downsizing, something our homeowner residents have known for years."
