LIVERPOOL, England (AP) -- Luis Suarez returned from an eight-game suspension given after he racially abused an opponent, and Liverpool was held to a 0-0 tie by Tottenham in the Premier League on Monday night.
Suarez entered in the 66th minute, his first appearance since December 26. He was penalized after a Football Association panel found he racially insulted Manchester United's Patrice Evra during a league match at Anfield on October 15.
Tottenham (15-4-5) has 50 points, seven behind first-place Manchester City (18-3-3) and five back of defending champion Manchester United (17-3-4).
Liverpool (10-5-9) is seventh with 39 points, four behind fourth-place Chelsea for the final Champions League berth.
Spurs manager Harry Redknapp missed the match because he was stranded in London due to aircraft difficulties after leaving his tax trial.
Granada gets 2-1
win over Malaga
GRANADA, Spain (AP) -- Granada won its second straight game under new coach Abel Resino after defeating Malaga 2-1.
Odion Ighalo put Granada ahead in the 57th, but Jose Rondon tied it for the visitors in the 68th. Inigo Lopez scored the go-ahead goal off a rebound n the 81st.
Malaga's Martin Demichelis was ejected in the 84th for a foul on Henrique Almeida.
Granada (7-10-4) climbed to 14th with 25 points, three behind eighth-place Malaga (8-9-4).
