AFTER being denied the opportunity to say her proper good-byes before Parliament was officially dissolved this week, St Cecilia MP and former Deputy Prime Minister Cynthia "Mother" Pratt spoke, pictured right, with The Big T about her 15-year career in Bahamian politics.
Giving her final farewell in an exclusive interview, Mrs Pratt spoke very candidly about her views on the last session of Parliament - she says it was the worst she has ever experienced - and doled out advice to the 38 MPs who will be elected to the House of Assembly on May 7.
Also in The Big T this week, columnist John Marquis in "Marquis at Large" talks about how the establishment of the DNA party is a product of Bahamians' disillusionment with the status quo, and Adrian Gibson in "A Young Man's View" tells us why the 2012
general election
will be a "partisan and venomous" affair.
Election fever is also gripping our "Why You Vex?" contributors, who this week are complaining about how politicians are suddenly finding last-minute solutions to long-standing problems and how one's wardrobe becomes very limited when the colours yellow, red and green need to be avoided.
On a lighter note, Big T STYLZ this week tells you why it's all about the proper eye makeup; we also give you a look at unique custom-made wedding gowns with a peek inside Javotte's House of Couture.
To find out why we might soon see a musical marriage between the Bahamas and Central America, check out "In Ya Other Ear"; also get the low-down on what Bahamians think will be this summer's biggest hit.
