Name: Anthonique Strachan
Sport: Athletics
Age: 19
G-Series Performance: Just a week after her record- setting, Olympic qualifying performance at the Colina Carifta Trials in New Providence, Strachan took her talent on the road and distanced herself as the top junior athlete in the region. She captured the Austin Sealy award for the second consecutive year in the Carifta Games as the most outstanding athlete at the meet. Her trio of gold medal performances included first place in the 100m in 11.22s (Olympic A standard) and the 200m in a season's best time of 22.85s (Olympic A standard). She teamed up with Devynne Charlton, Rashan Brown and Carmeisha Cox to take first place in the 400m relay in 45.02s and provided one of the memorable highlights of the meet on the anchor leg when she bypassed Jamaica's Shericka Jackson in the final 20m of the race.
