GRAYCLIFF's boutique airport lounge at Cincinnati Airport could be completed by this June, a company spokesperson said yesterday, telling Tribune Business that discussions on expanding the concept to several other airports within the US were in the final stages.
Roberta Garzaroli told Tribune Business the company was looking to expand its US presence beyond its existing two lounges in Nashville International Airport's 'B' and 'C' terminals, and could look to expand into the Caribbean as well.
Ms Garzaroli told Tribune Business: "We started actually in Nashville, and then we opened Nassau. We are currently on construction in Cincinnati. Opening should be sometime in June. We have a bunch of other airports that are in the final discussion stages."
She added: "We are talking to airports all over the place from Florida, to Georgia to California, Pennsylvania, Texas and Bermuda. Eventually, I think we would like to expand into the Caribbean. In Jamaica there is already a company that is doing that."
With regard to the company's plans for its long-awaited $25 million Heritage Village , Ms Garzaroli said: "There has been no change yet. We are still planning on going forward. We are still on the right deals and information, and working with the banks. It's been a slow and steady process."
Having purchased the required properties for "a few million dollars", Graycliff plans to turn the historic West Hill Street area, located opposite the Graycliff Hotel and Restaurant, into a 'Heritage Village' where visitors can participate in chocolate making, plus coffee roasting and tasting sessions. Outside, West Hill Street will become a cobbled, pedestrianised zone.
