Hundreds of persons were present at the rededication service of the historic church of St Mary’s Anglican Church, Old Bight Cat Island on Sunday, August 12.
The Chief Celebrant and Consecrator was the Rt. Rev’d Laish Boyd, Diocesan Bishop, assisted by Archbishop Drexel Gomez, Archdeacon Kingsley Knowles, The Venerable Kingsley Knowles, and The Rev’d Ernest Pratt and The Rev’d. Edward “Rex” Seymour.
Special guests included the Honourable Philip “Brave” Davis, Deputy Prime Minister and MP for Cat Island, Rum Cay and San Salvador, Peter Christie, donor, Courtney Strachan Jr., Chairman of The Antiquities, Monuments and Museum Corporation. Also in attendance were scores of visiting Anglicans from New Providence, including Clergy and members of the Anglican Church Women.
