THE LITTLE Pink Party started out as a small pre-celebration for the first Sex In The City movie launch back in 2008. Now, it has blossomed into one of the most highly anticipated shopping parties, attracting thousands of patrons yearly.

This Friday, the annual fashion, business networking and shopping event will celebrate five years, during “The District” event at the Wyndham Nassau Resort. The day long event, was designed and conceptualised to be a weekend for girlfriends, while supporting a worthy cause, according to event founder and producer Kandice Hanna of KhanAali Media Group. Proceeds from the event are donated to support the fight against breast cancer.

This year’s event will feature 70 exhibitors in clothing, accessories, beauty, cosmetics, food, beverage, health wellness, lifestyle and culture.
“The vision of the Little Pink Party is to provide stylish, smart, trendsetting and on-the-go women with a unique opportunity to learn and experience products presented directly to them by a variety of craftsmen, retailers and brand representatives,” said Ms Hanna.
She said The Little Pink Party has been pivotal in helping different businesses gain visibility and increase sales. She said several of the businesses that started at the event have experienced marked growth over the years.

“It provides a sensational platform to interact with and sell to an engaged and captivated target audience intent on learning about and buying the latest products and trends. It has really helped the a lot of business with brand visibility and recognition. The Little Pink Party has grown not because of our ideas but because of the exhibitors,” she said.

“This is a live marketing event that provides the best opportunity to market, sell or promote products to women who shop for everything in beauty, fashion, lifestyle, and entertainment.”
This year organisers also added a new feature to event, with the launch of its spokes model search. The contestants will be faced with different challenges, testing their skills and knowledge of the event. “We want to make sure that the person who represents us knows the event, so they will be challenged in different areas,” said Ms Hanna.
There will also be hourly fashion show, fitness demonstrations and make overs during the event.

Additionally as a new and engaging way to support the Cancer Society of the Bahamas, The Little Pink Box will be introduced. With the purchase of the box, patrons will score giveaways while supporting the cause.
Although the event is geared toward women, Ms Hanna said men are also welcomed to join in the fun.

During The Little Pink Party’s Summer So Bright event held in May of this year, she said there were more men in attendance.
“The men come to look for the women and that is good because so many of them showed up. This is not an event just for women, it can be enjoyed by men too,” she said.
