KENO Johnson, 28, was yesterday charged with murder in connection with a body discovered in southern New Providence nearly a week ago.
Johnson, of East Street, appeared before Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez in handcuffs and shackles with Central Detective Unit officers flanking him.
It is claimed that between November 15 and November 28, he intentionally caused the death of an unknown man.
Police discovered the partially decomposed body on November 28 just off Marshall Road.
Chief Magistrate Gomez told Johnson he was not required to enter a plea, and that his case would be forwarded to the Supreme Court for trial through a Voluntary Bill of Indictment.
He was remanded to prison without bail until the completion of his trial.
Johnson returns to court on February 28, 2013 to be served with a Voluntary Bill of Indictment.
The accused has retained attorney Jomo Campbell.
