POLICE are questioning two men in connection with nine murders since 2009.
Police arrested the men, both 22 years old, in the early hours of Sunday in connection with the shooting death of 41-year-old Garth Major.
Major was shot and killed around midnight last Friday as he arrived at his Kennedy Subdivision home.
Police say when he arrived home, he was approached by two men wearing black hooded jackets, who robbed and shot him.
Officer in Charge of the Central Detective Unit Paul Rolle said police are also questioning the men about the shooting deaths of: Reservist Dennis Clarke, Deon Knowles, Neremy Noel, Neil Percentie, Oslworth Belle, Dario Knowles, Lionel McQueen and Montez Saunders.
However, Supt Rolle would not say if the men know each other, if police expect to charge them in connection with any murders, or if the victims were somehow connected.
He said police will release more information to the press as soon as it becomes available.
Meanwhile, police are investigating a stabbing incident that left a 23-year-old man in hospital.
It happened around 12.30am on Monday.
Police say the victim was attending a party a home in the Dignity Gardens Subdivision when he got into an altercation with a man who he knows.
As a result of the argument, he was stabbed several times.
The victim was rushed to hospital by ambulance. His condition could not be confirmed before press time last night.
Police say active investigations continue.
