THE Bahamas Association for the Physically Disabled (BAPD) held its annual Christmas Party on Thursday, a tradition which is supported by the Rotary Club of East Nassau.
Christmas music was provided by Drexel Munroe and Obie Pindling and there was a special performance by vocalist Yulee B before the children of the BAPD performed a variety of Christmas skits.
Santa then gave gifts to all the children.
The vote of thanks was given by BAPD President and Past President of the Rotary Club of East Nassau, Sir Durward Knowles, who commended the staff and parents who helped stage the event and the many donors who make it possible for the BAPD to survive.
He did note however that the organisation is still in need of funds to purchase wheelchairs for children like those who took part in the day’s activities.
