TWO men thought to be responsible for four armed robberies in New Providence have been arrested, police said yesterday.
Investigators are now questioning the pair, aged 19 and 20, of Gamble Heights and Flamingo Gardens. They were taken into custody on Thursday.
Another man was arrested when police received a tip to report to Kim’s Crescent. Once there, they found the man with a stolen Rolex Watch and other pieces of stolen jewellery.
Police are also looking for three more men in connection with two other robberies of cash, jewellery and cell phones.
The first incident happened on Saturday at 1.20am.
Police said the victim was walking east on Bernard Road when he was approached by a robber who took his valuables.
The next incident occurred on Friday at 9pm after three men where held at gun point and robbed.
Officers said the men were at Summer Haven Road when they were approached by two culprits.
A laptop was also stolen at the time.
One of the victims police said was assaulted when on the robbers “gun butted” him to the head. He was later taken to the hospital and treated. His condition is not known police said.
They are asking members of the public to come forward with any information they might have.
