WHILE hundreds of students took to the streets to rush in the 2012 Junior Junkanoo parade, four schools captured bragging rights.
The official results now show: Spanish Wells All Age School won 2701 points for the Senior Division; A F Adderley School won for the Juniors with 2554 points; Uriah McPhee won in the primary category with 2623 points and the One-On-One Pre School secured 2377 points.
Other results in the best overall school for the senior division were: 2nd, Harbour Island All Age School, 2698 points; 3rd, South Andros District High Schools, 2694 points; 4th, Government High School, 2684 points; 5th, C R Walker Senior High School, 2596 points; 6th, Anatol Rodgers High School, 2543 points; 7th, North Andros High School, 2406 points; 8th, C Sweeting Senior High School, 2402 points.
In the junior category, T A Thompson school and Renaissance Academy walked away as the second and third place winners with 2327 and 1778 points respectively.
For the primary schools: 2nd, Woodcock Primary, 2621 points; 3rd, Our Lady’s Catholic School, 2577 points; 4th, St Thomas Moore Catholic School, 2491 points; 5th, Palmdale Primary School, 2362 points.
For the pre-school entrants: 2nd, Reality Educare Center, 2338 points; 3rd, Revere Academy, 2302 points; 4th, Loving Angels, 2277 points; 5th, Big Apple Academy, 2208 points; 6th, St Michael’s Pre School, 2136 points; 7th, 2 by 2 Pre School, 1975 points; 8th, Vision Academy, 1967 points; 9th, Nation Builders Pre School, 1721 points.
