PRISON Superintendent Dr Elliston Rahming has reportedly been appointed Bahamas Ambassador to Washington, DC.
According to sources, Dr Rahming will leave his prison post in the New Year.
It is understood that he is to be replaced by Assistant Commissioner of Police, Leon Bethel.
ACP Bethel has served in a number of areas throughout the force, including the Central Detective Unit, the Central and Southern Divisions in New Providence and the Eight Mile Rock and Freeport Divisions, Grand Bahama District.
He is currently the officer in charge of “Operations”.
The Tribune tried to contact Dr Rahming and ACP Bethel, but calls were not returned up to press time.

Another embarrassment for the Bahamas. You would think that they would choose someone with brains or couth to represent us to the most important country in the world.
