BAHA Mar has once again marked the holiday season by launching the Baha Mar Challenge – a pledge to match all donations to the Salvation Army from December 15 to 31.
For the third year running, the resort development will match all financial contributions to the charity dollar-for-dollar up to $10,000.
Baha Mar said the challenge is part of its ongoing commitment to help enhance quality of life for Bahamians.
“As an active member of the community, we believe that there is an obligation to be a socially responsible corporate citizen,” said Robert Sands, vice president of administration and external affairs.
“Baha Mar is honoured to partner with the Salvation Army again in an effort to positively transform the lives of the people with whom we live and work, especially during the holiday season.”
Proceeds from the Baha Mar Challenge will benefit the Salvation Army’s “Welfare and Feeding” programme and the School for Blind and Visibly Impaired Children.
Donations can be made at any of the familiar Salvation Army red kettles stationed throughout Nassau, including those placed in the lobbies of both the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort and Casino and the Wyndham Nassau Resort and Crystal Palace Casino.
Donations can be made by cash, cheque or wire transfer, Baha Mar said.
