FREEPORT - A 42-year-old Bahamian man and several suspected illegal immigrants are in police custody following a drug seizure in an upscale neighbourhood near Port Lucaya.
According to reports, Drug Enforcement Unit officers executed a search warrant around 2.30pm on Monday at a home off Royal Palm Way.
Asst Supt Loretta Mackey said the officers discovered 10 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $10,000.
Ms Mackey said nine foreign nationals were also discovered and detained for immigration processing and on suspicion of drug possession.
Police investigations continue.
