Real Talk Live radio show host Ortland Bodie Jr. was ordered by a Supreme Court judge to pay $2,500 to the Ranfurley Home for Children for his contempt of the court.
That fine, ordered by Justice Stephen Isaacs to be payed by July 9, was accompanied with an order for the host to immediately retract his statement on air along with an apology, or else he would be sent to prison for seven days.
Mr Bodie said the fine would be paid before the end of the day and that for each show in the remaining week he will retract his words and apologise for his remarks about Justice Isaacs made on June 21.
He said he has learned his lesson and thanked the judge for a fair punishment.

Bodie should not by any means pay this fine!!! This is not Cuba, Justice Isaacs you have done great damage to our country with this nonsense!!! I thought you were an intelligent and fair man, you should have thrown this out with a statment that freedom of speech is more important than offending a few judges...
I am ashamed of my country this day...
Freedom os speech is dead, what other freedoms will we lose now...

It doesn't quite work that way as even the Constitution does not give a person unfettered freedom of expression or what you have termed "freedom of speech". Have a look at what Article 15 says about the exercise of freedoms.

While I have no love for disbarred, and dis-graced, former attorney Ortland Bodie, Something is wrong with our system when the offended Judge can act in the roles of prosecutor, judge, and jury. Fairness to Mr. Bodie should have dictated that another Judge hear this matter and determine Mr. Bodie's guilt or innocence. If our Constitution allows this, then it needs to be changed. How can an offended Judge expect to be impartial in metting out justice to the very person that offended him? Even though it seems that Mr. Bodie was guilty as charged.
