Husband and wife charged over firearm

FREEPORT - A husband and wife and a minor were charged with possession of firearms and ammunition in the Firearms Court in New Providence on Thursday.

Brian Candow Botham, 45, and Debra Botham, 51, with a juvenile male, of Bayshore Road, Lucaya, were represented by Freeport attorney Kwasi Thompson.

They pleaded not guilty to the charges. Brian Botham was granted $10,000 bail with one surety, and Debra Botham and the juvenile were granted $9,000 cash bail.

The prosecution withdrew charges against a female adult. The matter has been adjourned to August 23 and 24 for trial.

In other court matters, Mark Noye, 55, and Merion Noyes, 46, of Privateer Drive, were arraigned on firearm and ammunition charges in New Providence.

Attorney Roger Gomez Jr represented the couple. They pleaded not guilty to the charges and were each granted $15,000 cash bail.

The matter was adjourned to September 27 and 28 for trial in Freeport.

Also appearing in the Firearms Court were Eugene McPhee, 26, of Freeport; Juvin Sawyer, 25, and Hank Weech Jr, 24, of both Bimini; and Philip Dereck Coakley, 37, of Nassau.

The four accused men were represented by Murrio Ducille. They pleaded not guilty to firearm and ammunition possession charges.

They were each granted $10,000 bail with a surety. The matter was adjourned to November 20 and 21 for trial.
