Organist Preston R. Ferguson released his second CD/DVD entitled “Great Hymns of the Church”, featuring favourites, A Mighty Fortress Is Our God, Christus Resurrexit Fanfare for Easter (Christ The Lord Is Risen Today), Creatures of Our God and King, and Praise My Soul the King of Heaven.

Proceeds from the sales will benefit the refurbishment of St. Agnes’ balcony. The CD/DVD was recorded during the recent concert at St. Agnes on April 26, and may be purchasedat St. Agnes Anglican Church Office Blue Hill Rd, The Christian Bookshop Rosetta Street and Ferguson’s School of Music Lincoln Blvd & Balfour Ave.

The historic St Agnes Church, which celebrates its 167th anniversary of dedication on July 12, was built in 1841 and dedicated in 1845. The balcony is home to the singing choirs and the houses the pipe organ, and the refurbishment programme will enhance the delivery of the music ministry.

In addition to serving as senior organist, director of music, and senior choir director at St Agnes Anglican Church, Ferguson is also senior master at St John’s College. He has over 37 years of organ experience, having begun playing the organ at the tender age of 10.
