SOSA man is wide awake and living out his dream to becoming one of the best musicians there is.

It was just last year when Sosa Man told In Ya Ear his inspiration for his debut album "Dream Land" came from his brother telling him he was living in dream land when it came to music. With the drive to make it, Sosa Man's Dream Land album had fans locally and internationally singing to the sounds of "I Dream in Colour."

Now he's back with another treat, a brand new mixtape/album, entitled "The Wake Up." Since the release of the album, Sosa Man said: " After you dream, you got to wake up and work. The Wake Up is my expression of working toward making the dream a reality."

Over the past five years, Sosa Man has released eight mix tape/albums, organized over twenty successful independent events with major sponsors and opened for top-selling international artists including, Bobby Valentino, Buju Banton and Lil Wayne.

Taking Bahamian talent to another level, he is also known for becoming the first Bahamian Hip Hop artist to receive video play on the Caribbean network Tempo.

He said the new "Wake Up" album is bringing a re-energized Sosa, with eighteen new tracks and "cool music". He said the album has more Sosa and less features. With different producers on this album, Sosa Man said fans will find the lyrics are a bit more edgy.

"Lyrically you're definitely going to grow, so I also grew lyrically and the producers got better, everyone got better around me, it was a total team effort. I like all of my albums the same, they are like my children so one is just older than the next, " said Sosa Man.

Like parents to their children, Sosa Man said he loves all of the songs on "The Wake Up" album equally, but there are a few songs that stand out on the project such as: "The Wake Up", "Don't Front On Us", "Can I Luv U" and "Welcome 2 Reality."

When asked why he decided to team up with Mdeez, BDA, Daddi Whites and Beezy Lean'n on the new album, he said: "Those guys are my real homies and there is nothing like working with family. BDA and Beezy are my two new favorite producers. Daddi Whites and MDeez were on the first song I ever received radio play with entitled "Imma Boss," so that was like a reunion of sorts."

Sosa Man said what he likes most about the new album is the mood it sets, saying the mood is good for the times. "It's keeping with the trending topics worldwide but with an obvious 242 twist, you gotta hear it," he said.

He added: "I do it for my family, fans and friends, my people support the hustle. I haven't released music in a minute so it's good to give my peeps some new music."

Sosa Man said his music has evolved into a more professional based level since the release of his mix tapes some years ago." Mix tapes are usually a result of trying to put yourself in a position to release an album. Mix tapes are low budget so you know, you want to keep releasing those stuff to save enough money to really release and be able to take something to the world."

He said there will definitely be more to come from the new album. His fans can keep in touch and stay connected with him at Foxies Lounge on East Bay Street or via his instagram account @SosaManBahamas.

Along with his previous "Dream Land" album, Sosa Man's songs are available for purchase online.
