THE Nassau Airport Development Company(NAD) yesterday announced it has expanded its management team with the additions of Sian Bevans and Tenniel Newton.
Mrs Bevans and Mrs Newton are the latest Bahamians to be added. Mrs Bevans joins as the company’s new director for people, and Mrs Newton as manager for business analysis.
“Sian brings to NAD many years of human resources experience in the brewing, hospitality and tourism sectors,” said Stewart Steeves, NAD’s president and chief executive.
“Tenniel is a major asset to the company, who prior to joining NAD worked in the financial and commercial analysis areas at the Department of Statistics and the US Embassy.”
The new managers come at a time when the airport is undergoing a $409.5 million redevelopment. While transforming the physical infrastructure, the airport management company is also focused on transforming the overall experience for users.
Mrs Bevans, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Omega College, will report directly to Chris Ryan, vice-president of finance and chief financial officer. She will focus primarily on staff training and coaching as the airport moves towards its goal of being the best facility in the Caribbean region.
Mrs Newton, a 2004 graduate of York University’s Economics & Business programme and a level one CFA candidate, will report to Vernice Walkine, vice-president of marketing and commercial development, and will analyse factors impacting upon route service development, commercial performance and passenger trends.
“The addition of these two ladies to the management group further strengthens our capacity to build and develop LPIA into the world-class facility it is destined to become for the benefit of the people of The Bahamas,” said Mr Steeves.
