National teams named

FOLLOWING the completion of the BAAA Scotiabank National Open Track and Field Championships, national teams for the NACAC Under-23 and IAAF World Junior Championships have been released.

The NACAC Under-23 Championships is all set to be held in Mexico July 6-8 while the IAAF World Junior Championships is slated for July 10-15 in Barcelona, Spain.

The BAAA, however, has not yet selected the team for the London Olympics scheduled for July 27 to August 13.

The team will have to be ratified and announced by the Bahamas Olympic Committee. Here's at a look at the national teams selected:

NACAC Under-23

Women

100m - V'Alonee Robinson

200m - Amara Jones

400m - Amara Jones

110m hurdles - Ivanique Kemp and Krystal Bodie

High jump - Kenya Culmer

Long jump - V'Alonee Robinson

Shot put - Julianna Duncanson and Shelleyeka Rolle

Men

200m - Trevorvano Mackey and Marcus Thompson

800m - Cerio Rolle

110m hurdles - Nathan Arnett and Dennis Bain

Long jump - Raymond Higgs

Triple jump - J'Vente Deveaux
