UNDER the patronage of the Right Reverend Laish Z. Boyd, Sr. and Mrs. Boyd, The Anglican Chorale will come together with friends in a variety concert, "A Celebration of Praise and Thanksgiving" to be held at St. Agnes Anglican Church, Blue Hill Road, on Friday, 29, June.
Admission is free and an offering will be taken in aid of the restoration of St. Stephen's Anglican Church, Fresh Creek, Andros, which was destroyed by fire.
Performing at the concert will be soloists and instrumentalists: Osano Neely, James Hutcheson, Jr., John Darville, Michael Zonicle, Rowena Munroe and B'Angelo Cartwright.
Osano Neely has had extensive exposure worldwide in the music industry, performing with music icons such as Benny Hinn, Rev. Donnie McClurkin, and Sheila E. Being a member of both the Bahamas National Children's Choir and the Boys' Choir of the Bahamas has also given him many priceless opportunities. He has travelled to places such as: London, Poland, Prague, New York and Mississippi. He was also privileged to be given the opportunity to attend the Washington Jazz Arts Institute in June of 2009.
James Hutcheson, Jr., was born to Sgt. James Hutcheson & Mrs. Robin Hutcheson, one of the many musical families in the country. He currently serves as principal trumpet player for the Bethel Baptist Orchestra and lead trumpet player for the Sapphire Jazz Entertainment. James holds a Grade V practical and theory from the Royal School of Music and he plans to further his studies to the Grade VIII level.
B'Angelo Cartwright's music studies began at the early age of 5 starting with piano, then the trumpet at 7 and the euphonium at 10. From here, he continued his studies while getting involved with different community organizations like the Pathfinder Band, Bahamas National Youth Orchestra and the National Children's Choir. After graduating from the College of the Bahamas in May 2012, B'Angelo was able to get his hands in many musical projects; some of which include vocalists in the SEAAC Festival, The College of The Bahamas Choir, vocalist and arranger in the U.S. 105 voices.
Allison Dean is the assistant director of the Anglican Chorale. She is currently an organist and the choir director at St. Mary's Anglican Church and an associate organist at St. Agnes Anglican Church. Her principal instruments are the piano and the organ, and she also plays the flute and clarinet. She plans to pursue a Master of Sacred Music.
Dexter Fernander is the Chorale's Accompanist and Vocal Clinician. He is a pianist, composer, choreographer, choral conductor and baritone soloist. Currently, he is the Director of the Fine Arts Ministry of New Destiny Baptist Church.
Rosemary C. Hanna is the Director of the Anglican Chorale.
