The vote takes place on Monday, May 7, and the Ministry of Education yesterday confirmed that all public schools will be closed as they will be used as polling stations.
The US Embassy announced that it would have limited consular hours on May 7 and 8. Visa interviews and children's visa application drop-off will not take place on these days. The American Citizen Services Unit will be open for emergency services and, additionally, for US passport pick-up from 1-2pm on May 7.
All visa applicants are also advised that the Department of State adjusted visa processing fees worldwide on April 13, 2012. A detailed list of visa fee changes can be found on the embassy's website at http://nassau.usembassy.gov.
